Introduction to Dance Therapy
Codarts Master of Arts Therapies offers a five-day intensive introduction course in dance therapy which consists of experiential work and lectures on different approaches to dance therapy. The introduction provides professionals with the opportunity to experience dance therapy, explore whether continuing into a Dance Therapy master is desirable and/or can enrich and deepen one’s own profession. The participant acquires basic knowledge of dance therapeutic methods and receives information about the current professional practice. The highly skilled and experienced tutors in this introduction are members of our faculty. Such as Simone Kleinlooh, Renate Hoenselaar, Rosemarie Samaritter, and Katharina Conradi.

Master of Arts Therapies
The introduction may serve as a strong basis for the Master in Dance Therapy offered at Codarts, which will start with a new cohort in September 2020. In September 2016 the Master in Dance Therapy changed its name into Master of Arts Therapies, thus making it possible to set up a music therapy master programme alongside the dance therapy programme. Both master programmes offer the opportunity for advanced professional training and specialisation. The programme’s central teaching concepts include the integration of theory and practice, discovery through practical experience, and exploratory learning. The underlying foundation in different theories encourages and enhances critical reflection.
